How can I save the Video Downloads to my iPad using the Files App?

I’ve found Downloading to an iPad can take a little bit of concentration to start with, so I’ve tried to include as many steps to help you out.
So deep breath and inner calm.
Pro tip: (iOS is an abbreviation of iPhone Operating System) The screens may vary slightly due to the different functionalities of the operating system, this was with iOS software version 13.3.1

Four Options for Downloading:

  • Option 1. Download to your Mac or PC desktop/laptop and then import to the Files app on your iPad.
  • Option 2. Download to your Mac or PC desktop/laptop and then import to a third-party app like Dropbox, Google Drive etc.
  • Option 3. Download directly using the Safari Browser and built-in the Files app
  • Option 4. Download using a third-party Browser within the ‘Documents’ app (I find Documents has a better video player than the Files app)
Here are the steps for Option 3 Downloading directly using using the Safari Browser and built-in the Files app

Step 1: Check your iPad/iPhone Software Version (iOS)

The Files app was introduced to iPad and iPhone in iOS 11.
You need to have iOS 11 or later installed on your iPad/iPhone.
You can check your current iOS by:

Step 2. Open your Safari Browser and login to your email account the Order Receipt was sent to

This might be Yahoo, Gmail, iCloud etc

Step 3: Find your Order Receipt and click the first video.
