Theae are ao lovely!
So fun to see. Nice job everyone!
Hi Will and
Hi Five to the Sunflower Community!
I think, we all did quite well.
I myself have changed the original piece a little bit by adding flowers and changing the composition because the piece goes to an exibition and I did not want to hang a copy. the title will be “Guess what could have happen if Vincent would have visited Jetttingen” (my home town).
I unfortunatly missed the needed Structure Gel Medium to achieve the more Van Gogh like outcome and therefore I find the pieces with more expressive brush work just amazing?
I enjoyed the course very much. I started another Van Gogh copy showing a landscape in Auvers-sur-Oise so similar to the landscape around here. The original is to be found in Munich Pinakothek. Another version is in Vienna Belvedere.
In case some of you consider to visit Germany or Austria. Cheers Andrea
Beautiful job, Andrea!
Vincent would be proud of all!
They look great!!!

They all look great! Question…… when you copy someone’s painting, do you sign it??
I’m considering adding “not-Vincent” to my sig when I finish.
I believe that with that person’s permission and an acknowledgement, you can sign. You could put the acknowledgement on the back.
Good question. I’ve always wondered the same.
Love all of these!! Very creative works.
Enjoyed this course immensely even though challenging in places (for me anyway,).Lovely to see everyone’s different interpretations and approaches. Well done everyone.
GORGEOUS, AND sooooo much of their own style. thank you for lo of your lovely emails…and always sharing the amazing student work(actually all of the professional work of the artists that take your classes sounds about right) Happy Summer…going to Copenhagen soon to see art
Those are all so very impressive!
Some really very lovely paintings. I love them all, with each student giving a very subtle variation that works. My favourite is Pat Shaw’s version with the lovely glazed vase and the intensity of the colours used. I think Mr Van Gogh wouldn’t be doing a double take
I’m still working on mine. I loved seeing other students work and how individual each is. I hope I do half as well.
I am so grateful for Will and all his lesson plans, which are very affordable. And I love seeing the various ways people interpret the same scene. Thank you for sharing.
They inspire me!! All so good I look forward to doing that course.
Beautiful work, everyone!
All fantastic and testament to Will’s supreme abilities to teach and nurture this latent talent in us all! These could all adorn the walls of The Yellow House, as Vincent intended.
Simply gorgeous, everyone!! Well done!!!
Thank you for sharing!
God bless, C-Marie
Great Paintings
It’s so wonderful seeing so many artists that were inspired by Mr Kemp and Mr Van Gogh and produced these lovely works. Bravo! I gave it a go too using oils. I discovered that I didn’t have to add a thickening product to create the impasto, and that the Egbert brush works quite well at that aspect. Amazing tip from the lesson! So now I’m tackling another of the sunflower paintings and … we’ll see. Cheers everyone! …. From west coast USA.
Your students’ paintings always impress me. I love how creative they are and how they express their own interpretations of the subjects.
